Inspection FAQs

  • No we don’t. We inspect the alarm devices which monitor sprinkler, ansul, or other systems, but we don’t install or inspect those systems themselves.

  • This can vary by municipality, but generally the fire marshal will make sure any fire equipment your building has is functioning and inspected. They’ll look for:

    • Fire alarm inspection report (we can do this one!)

    • Functionality of Emergency lights

    • Fire extinguishers inspection report

    • Clear paths to an exit door

    • Sprinkler system inspection report (if applicable)

  • During an inspection, we test the full end-to-end functionality of the system to ensure that your fire alarm will function in an emergency. Including:

    • Detector functionality & sensitivity

    • Audible and visual notification devices function

    • Emergency signals are sent and received by central station

    • Check/change system backup batteries

    • Simulate trouble conditions to verify the system detects and notifies of them

    • and more!

  • Because we inspect each individual device, this varies greatly by the size of your system (which generally correlates to the size and age of your building).

Inspections of small to midsize buildings can take anywhere from one hour to eight hours, and can cost from $125 to several hundred dollars.

  • If our technician finds that your system is not performing as it should, we’ll need to fix the issue in order to give you a passing report.

For smaller issues like low batteries or a faulty smoke detector, we can fix the issue right then and there. But if the issue is time-consuming, or the faulty device is not commonly kept on the truck, we’ll need to schedule a return trip to service the system.

Once the system is back to normal, you’ll get your report and certification right away.

We get it done right. Guaranteed.

Our affordable, dependable systems are installed by pros who will get the job done right. It is our promise to you that we won’t stop until you’re happy with your new system.
